“59 DINER! Whats the name behind it?”
Sara's full firsthand review
59 DINER! Whats the name behind it? I told my sister its obviously due to the fact that diners were very popular in the fifties. Therefore, I suggested it was named after the year 1959. Then... she told me that i`ve got it all wrong, and that it has to deal with the road highway 59! Hahah. The debate still continues....Anyways. My friends, sister, and I came here late at night, after enjoying ourselves at a concert. Right when we stepped in, I felt as if I had been transported to the 'happy days' years. We were seated promptly, and had courteous service. I was craving something cheesy, so I choose the grilled cheese sandwich. It was delicious, and had a mix of two cheeses, with sliced tomatoes inside. The bread was thick and spicy texas toast. I hadn't had a gourmet cheese sandwich in forever, so it was nice to eat this up! The french fries that came a long were thin and crispy - highly addictive. My friends ordered the famous malts. They happily chugged down their malts, with an aftermath of a brain freeze! 59 Diner has a large menu chock full of items you don't usually find at other spots. It`s a nice change from the usual Denny`s and Ihops that are found nestled all around the 'burbs. I`m looking for another chance to try this place out again. Until next time!
