Sara's full firsthand review
I'm not sure where these super low ratings are coming from.. I visited this market today and had a nice experience. Granted upon walking in.. you'll notice how spaced out things are. Some areas in the market seem barren and desolate while others are packed full of items on shelves. Makes for an adventure to sift out some items I suppose. They've got a large bakery here.. all the way on the right side of the market. I cant comment on it because I didn't visit that section. Theres a large selection of produce and all kinds of fresh herbs. I was able to pick out quite a variety of vegetables and fruit. All of them seemed fresh including the peppers and ginger. I often make fresh batches of ginger tea so it was crucial to find the right stuff. There's quite an extensive selection of halal meat located in the butchers corner. All the meat items are packed well and dated securely. Al Rabba is quite a large market and I believe this store was previously a neighborhood Randall's. You'll find many international and American items here as it still holds the remnant's of the previous chain grocery store. There's a section that is full of culinary equipment and some dainty teacups that caught my eye. I was able to pick up quite a few items on my trip. Although this market is located in Sugar Land it's nestled deep within a neighborhood not close to the main roads. If you're familiar with New Territory, you'll know how massive that subdivision is. Won't be frequenting that often but it's definitely nice to have a new grocery spot in town that is diverse and clean.
What we tried
Sara's visit centered on tea. The strongest impression was the quality and flavor of the items that stood out, along with the overall experience around them.
