This location of Coco's Crepes is tucked in a quiet little corner of Rice Village. Having been to the original Coco's in Midtown many of times, the new location in the village was a nice change of scenery. Upon entering, I noticed how clean it was inside and preferred the layout and space of the new cafe. My family and I decided to share a creme brulee crepe and ordered our own coffee beverages. The creme brulee crepe was a flavour that I had never tried before. Let me tell you this.. It was delicious! The crepe was large, fluffy and chewy. It was big enough for my family and I to share. The creme brulee crepe was filled with a decadent smooth pastry creme and sliced strawberries. The outside of the crepe was bruleed, which created a crispy texture, and was drizzled with chocolate sauce. The presentation was beautiful and we were all satisfied. Unfortunately, our coffee beverages that we ordered (cafe au lait & latte) never arrived to our table. I went up to the cashier/barista and reminded her of our order. In which case she looked confused because she had completely forgotten about our coffee! I was surprised that she had forgotten about our drinks, in regards to our small and simple order. She quickly made our drinks and brought it to our table. The girl was friendly yet seemed quite out of it. Maybe it had been a long day for her? Anyhow, my family and I still enjoyed our experience here. This location serves up waffles and a few other items as well. I may try a sweet waffle next time around. Coco's is always a nice little spot to visit for some good desserts and to bring family, friends, or out of town guests.
