My sister and I enjoyed a delicious and memorable meal here as we ate outside on a cool weekday night. Both the concept and ambiance are totally unique. Anis (the owner) made us feel welcomed and comfortable. He made my sister and I feel like family, as we happily chatted with him about Mediterranean/North African cuisine. I totally dig that kind of food - from those warm and rich cultures full of hospitality. That is what we received here at Couscous a Gogo. I was craving a warm and hearty plate of couscous with meat, so I ordered the beef couscous plate. The stew was tender with succulent pieces of beef and hearty chunks of root vegetables. Served on a bed of steamed couscous. I asked for a bit of harissa (hot sauce) which totally complimented the meal, and you cant go wrong with harissa and couscous! My sister enjoyed her rosemary chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken was tender and full of flavor. Fries were my least favorite. They were lukewarm and thin - didn't remind me of pomme frites. Anyway, I often eat vegetarian, but the meat is exceptional and of good quality. Meatless items are also served up on the menu - if ya swing that way. They use fresh and local ingredients in the food and you can simply taste it in every bite. Yummy! Wish I could eat some couscous right about now. It is so comforting and I totally left with satisfaction and a warm happy belly. Please give this local establishment a chance. The whole staff is so welcoming and super kind. They are crafting up some light, healthy and innovative food that will tickle your tastebuds! I will definitely be back when visiting the area and will try something new. Until then. Au revoir!
