Gigi’s Cupcakes of Sugarland review

I came here on opening week, and was quite pleased to notice they had itty bitty cupcakes for samples. I sampled the milk chocolate cupcake which had crunchy white pearls on top. The pearls added a nice crispy texture and the frosting was thick and creamy. My sister ordered the Princess Cupcake, which is a strawberry cupcake with cream cheese frosting. The cupcake was good, and the strawberry flavour was nice. My only problem was that the cream cheese frosting became a tad too sweet after eating a few bites. Overall the cupcakes here are nicely displayed, and there is a variety of flavours to choose from. They are overwhelmingly topped with so much frosting, they resemble icecream on cones! If you are the type of person who enjoys an extra shot of frosting, than this is the spot for you. As someone who is into lightly sweet desserts, I thought the cupcakes were too sweet for my liking. Its definitely a spot that kids will enjoy, I will most likely bring my little cousins here.
