Hot. Crispy. Chicken sandwich. But with a Syrian twist.
Wow this atypical sandwich was hecka good. Lots of flavor, layers and textures. Yummy's Bite has a lot to offer in terms of flavor and ingenuity. It's a simple and plain food truck but don't be fooled by their small menu. Got there early on a Saturday evening and thankfully there wasn't a line wrapped around the truck. I tried most of their items and was left wanting more. Jk. I left feeling satisfied. If anyone knows me well enough.. I rarely eat anything fried. Including these types of chicken sandwiches that became ever so popular.
But with the unique twist that Yummy's offers.. this sandwich is in a league of it's own. Super crispy, fresh and loaded with the good stuff. The slaw is bright and vibrant and the crumb coating of the chicken is crisp and golden. They have a few spice levels for their Syrian chicken sandwich as well as their tender basket. I asked for medium spice and it was just right. Ordered the curry fries as well.. quite unique and interesting take on fusion fries. The curry sauce was exquisite meshed with the mild flavors of the cheese sauce. Fries were very hot (temperature wise). My sandwich came with a challah bun rather than the pretzel bun advertised. I'm glad I asked in advance as I prefer the challah bread. You may have to ask when ordering your sandwich. All in all, everything was crisp and yummy. This spot packs heat and taste. I'll probably revisit in the Fall. It's quite hot out and eating in these temps was an adventure of its own. Thanks Yummy's. Hope y'all continue to thrive on the simple yet humble grounds of the Galleria food truck park.
What we tried
Sara's visit centered on most of their items and was left wanting more. The strongest impression was the quality and flavor of the items that stood out, along with the overall experience around them.
